Community Service

CTC has been a long-time sponsor of the MATHCOUNTS Competition Series, a national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem-solving skills and fosters achievement through a four-level, in-person contest.  CTC assists in this southeastern Michigan region competition – a one-day event with four rounds: Sprint, Target, Team, Countdown.  On average, 80 to 120 middle school students are involved in the southeastern Michigan competition every year. Regional winners advance to the state competition. State winners go to Washington, D.C. to compete in the nationals. To date, five teams from the CTC-sponsored regionals have made it to the finals.
